Adam and I just spent an amazing four days in the Mineral King Forest with Van and Ruth (Adam's parents). We survived the two mile extreme dirt road that led to Kaweah Han, while admiring two deer on the way and taking in the glorious scent of fresh pine and mountain air. We stayed in the care takers cabin this year and spent our days hiking, napping, cooking, playing games (Adam taught us all how to play poker), and of course, enjoying the natural rock slide. We returned to reality today with our batteries charged and ready to face the week ahead. As my dad would say, "It was livin'!"
